I Didn't Remember

from Listening EP by The Evenings

/

lyrics

Did you say no? I didn't remember, and all that time I had nothing to go on. I'd like to believe you didn't remember, but now it seems clear that you do.

How could I know you'd be making planes on the roof without me? I know I should not care, but I do. I'll say I didn't remember, but we both know that I do.

I thought I knew what you would be thinking, but something went wrong; don't tiptoe around it. The last thing I wanted was an apology; that's just not what we do.

about

Mark Wilden UK

The Evenings was a band based in Oxford that made an awful lot of noise between 2002 and 2010. You know the band at the end of Bill & Ted Face The Music? That was our aim.
